2025 was another huge year for your ACF-AWR group!  

Our events for the year included:

  1. Planning together for 2025, Feb 15, Hybrid event
  2. Monthly meeting and catch up, Mar 29, Hybrid event
  3. Australia's Biggest Bushwalk, May 17, we walked 69 km and raised $260 to help protect Australia's wildlife
  4. Monthly meeting and catch up, May 31, Hybrid event
  5. Champions for Nature, Sloane's Froglet citizen science with Karen Retra, Aug 16
  6. Platy-project zoom how-to, Sep 5
  7. Platy-project field trip how-to, Sep 6
  8. Films to inspire climate action with guest speaker Paul Sinclair, ACF Campaign Director and Deputy CEO, Oct 25
  9. Connecting Nature With Farming - Platy Event, Oct 26
  10. End-of-year celebration, Dec 6

And we also had a presence at the Albury-Wodonga Farmers Market and wrote many submissions and letters to lobby for strong nature laws and climate action federally, in VIC and NSW, and locally.  Too many to list!

We hope you will join us in an end-of-year celebration of our significant achievements for 2025 and to relax with like-minded people at the beautiful Wonga Wetlands.

We'd also love to hear from you about things you'd like to see your ACF-AWR group doing in 2026 - we love hearing from you with your great feedback and ideas, so also save the date for our planning meeting on Feb 14, 2026.

Come along, join us, and have a lovely day enjoying nature and the company of like-minded, welcoming people.

What to bring:  A plate to share, something to drink (no alcohol), clothes suitable for the weather, closed shoes, sunscreen, mosquito repellent

Other things you may like to bring:  A chair, binoculars, camera

What you can't bring:  Your dog or your bicycle on the walking paths (to protect the wildlife)
