Join us for a public forum to explore these questions and put rivers and water on the agenda in the climate election. Hear from a scientist, an irrigator and an environmental campaigner about whether the Murray-Darling Basin Plan is working for Victoria and what needs to be done to address the impacts of climate change on our rivers. Speakers include:
- Professor Jamie Pittock from the Australian National University and the Wentworth Group, an internationally renowned expert on climate change and water management
- Peta Thornton, a Murray River local and irrigator at Swan Hill
- Jono La Nauze, CEO at Environment Victoria and one of Australia’s most experienced river campaigners
