ACF Brisbane South & Logan has been busy lately. We have
- Organised a Nature Challenge at Tygum Lagoon. People of all ages walked around this tranquil waterway in Logan City and answered questions about the local wildlife and plants
- Run stalls at local markets to promote ACF campaigns
- Hosted a film event to screen Cry of the Forests – a documentary about the destruction of native forests in Western Australia
- Met with local MPs to urge them to promote policies which reduce greenhouse gas emissions
We are currently planning guided bushwalks with nature experts in the Seven Hills Bushland Reserve and Oxley Creek Common and will again have a stall at the Logan Eco Action Festival on June 4.
The escalating climate emergency means now is to the time for you to get involved and put pressure on our elected representatives to phase out fossil fuels and transition to a green economy.
