ACF Brisbane South & Logan has been busy lately. We have
- Organised a Nature Challenge at Tygum Lagoon. People of all ages walked around this tranquil waterway in Logan City and answered questions about the local wildlife and plants
- Run stalls at local markets to promote ACF campaigns
- Hosted a film event to screen Cry of the Forests – a documentary about the destruction of native forests in Western Australia
- Met with local MPs to urge them to promote policies which reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
- Run conservation book chats at local libraries
- Talked to hundreds of people at the Logan Eco-Action Festival on June 4
We are currently planning guided bushwalks with experts in nature reserves around Brisbane and Logan. We are going to Berrinba Wetlands on July 2
The escalating climate emergency means now is to the time for you to get involved and put pressure on our elected representatives to phase out fossil fuels and transition to a green economy.
