Join us for a hilly loop walk in the northern part of the Castlemaine Diggings National Heritage Park. This pleasant, but somewhat challenging, walk will take us past many mining relics and an abandoned goldrush setlement.
The meeting point is about 45 minutes’ drive from central Bendigo, 10 minutes from Castlemaine and 30 minutes from Kyneton. You will need to register to find out exactly where we will meet and start our walk.
We will walk about 5.5 km and expect to finish within 2.5 hours. Much of the walk is on rocky uneven tracks and it includes several steep climbs and descents. Please wear sturdy supportive footwear and suitable clothing, bring your walking poles, drinking water and snacks, and protect yourself from the elements.
