Hi Everyone,
YAY!! its the end of the year, and the last Sunday of December will be our time to honour and celebrate all of the hard work we've done as a community!!
To recap - our first meeting was held at the Fern Tree Community centre, and it was a vibrant meeting of like minded people and passionate hearts. The Inaugural meeting was a heartwarming example of what can happen when we work together.
"Together we are a powerful force for nature" - ACF.
In the six months that have followed we have written letters to GHD, painted placards, attended the Schools climate strike, attended ACF activate training, joined with other climate action groups, in signing an open letter to the Tasmanian parliament to stop new coal mines in Tasmania, signed petitions, gathered signatures to raise awareness for climate action and have asked Coles and Woolworth's to think about the climate, and leave the BCA.
We have plans to continue the ACF - Business Council of Australia campaign for January 2020, by attending stalls and festivals to talk to people at a grass roots level, and collect signatures for our petitions!
We're a community who cares!!
Lets celebrate our achievements on Sunday 22nd of December from 12.30 - 3.30 pm!
There will be an optional bushwalk after lunch.
RSVP by Monday the 16th of December.
Each person will cover the cost of their own meal.
