You may have seen the signs, and the activists on the street, and wondered "Who is Adani, and why should they be stopped?" We hope that "Guarding the Galilee" will provide you with a few of the answers.
This event is brought to you by the #StopAdani Higgins action group. We are a group of local citizens who want effective climate action and a clean energy future! Adani's proposed Carmichael mine may be a long way away, but it will affect everyone if it is allowed to proceed.
Meet at the Copland Room at Ashburton Library at 7:00pm for a 7:30 start. The film runs for about half an hour, so there will be plenty of time afterward to discuss what you think of it, and what further action you might want to take. Bring pen and paper, if you can.
There will be a small door donation to help cover hiring costs.
