This month we are returning to a family fave - Tinchi Tamba Wetlands. Join us for a gentle family hike and kangaroo spotting! We’ll be there with our 3.5 year old.

The mostly shaded walk itself is an easy, stroller accessible 3km return which passes through 3 distinct landscapes and offers the chance to see rare migratory birds and Eastern grey kangaroos. 🦘 🦘

We'll meet at the Deep River Bend car park. We'll hike the 3km Island Circuit Track and then enjoy the playground and picnic area afterwards.

We want to make our hikes welcoming and inclusive for all carers. Here’s what to expect.

  • All carers are welcome
    • We welcome all mums, dads, partners, step-parents, foster parents, carers and friends.
  • No family left behind
    • We know hiking with children can bring unique challenges. If you need to stop to change a nappy or to feed, no worries. We’ll stop and take a break.
  • Welcome circle introductions
    • Our hikes begin with a Welcome Circle, where we introduce ourselves and our families and set the intention for our time together.

We'll bring tea and coffee supplies. Please bring a plate of food to share if you can

Sign up using the form on this page so we know how many people to expect.

Interested but can't make the time? Register here and we’ll let you know about future events like this.

Happy hiking,

Emma and Matt
