Bio-R Planting Festival: Frahns Farm 2024

Planting season is coming up.

We’re rejoining Bio-R’s Frahns Farm Planting Festival out at Monarto. There are six events to choose from between 8th of June and the 23rd of June- see calendar.

Bio-R aim to reconstruct another 24 hectares of wildlife habitat with 48,000 seedlings to be planted.

They need help, so let's get involved!

Register and pay here to attend.  Remember to also register on the right of this screen so we know you're coming.

The minimum ticket price is $10 per adult (kids free). You have the option of paying $25 to cover full costs. (Ticket includes: registration, lunch & afternoon tea).

What to bring/wear

  • Rubber boots/ sturdy closed-toe shoes
  • Weather appropriate clothing (may need a rain jacket)
  • Gardening gloves
  • Hand-size trowel/shovel/mattock (& bucket to carry these items)
  • Cutlery/bowl/plate/mug
  • Water bottle
  • Hat & sunscreen
  • Chair or picnic rug

Approximate agenda (run by Bio-R):

9:30am – Arrival for daily briefing and morning planting session
12:00pm onwards – Staggered lunch
1:00pm onwards – Staggered afternoon planting session
3:00pm – Afternoon tea
3:30pm – Tour (optional)
