Come along to our monthly Birrarung Revegetation Project! 🐝
This project is a collaboration between Melbourne Girls' College, ACF Inner Melbourne, and Wattle.
We're working on revegetating the MGC sites by the Birrarung (Yarra River) to help create a sustaining habitat corridor.
What we do at these working bees:
- Weeding
- Mulching
- Planting
- Landscaping
- Checking nestboxes
- Planning community projects
We also provide morning tea at the end of the sessions which is a great oportunity to connect with other like-minded volunteers about all things nature, environment, and sustanability!
Where: We meet at the MGC garden on the embankment running up from the Yarra path, approximately 300 metres south of the Hawthorn Bridge, just past the Melbourne Girls College Boat shed. The coordinates are here - but if you're lost head to MGC Gate 2.
Time: Feel free to stay for the whole session, or drop in whenever you can from 9-11 am.
Bring: Water, sturdy shoes, and weather appropriate clothing! Gloves and tools are provided.
