Brisbane's biggest #StopAdani doorknock!

Saturday 18 November 2017
12:00pm - 05:00pm
Brothers Rugby Club
103 Crosby Rd, Albion, QLD 4010, Australia
Get directions

The majority of Queenslanders want public money spent on clean energy projects, not infrastructure for dirty coal mines like Adani’s. It’s time for Tim Nicholls to follow Annastacia Palaszczuk's lead and veto the $1 billion loan to Adani.

To make it loud and clear for him ahead of election day, dozens of caring Queenslanders are getting out and about, talking to locals in the heart of Tim Nicholl’s electorate next Saturday 18 November.

Together, they’ll ask the local community what they think about Adani’s billion-dollar bailout, and let them know where the major parties stand on Adani’s polluting mine. Will you join them?

Here’s a quick snapshot of the day:

  • 12-1pm: Meet at Brothers Rugby Club for Adani conversation training
  • 1-3pm: Get out in Winsdor, Lutwyche and Wolloowin to speak to local constituents about where the major parties stand on Adani
  • 3-4pm: Head back to Brothers Rugby Club for a quick debrief
  • 4pm onwards: Time to celebrate! Stick around for complimentary food and a cash bar

Whether you’re a natural chatterbox or this is your first time speaking to local community members, our friends at the Australian Marine Conservation Society and the Australian Youth Climate Coalition have got you covered. They'll provide training from 12-1pm to get you skilled up, fired up and ready to speak to locals about Adani's polluting megamine.

So get out and have a yarn to #StopAdani this election.
