This is your invitation to join ACF Brisbane South & Logan at the Global Climate Strike in Brisbane!

This massive, student-led movement is building power around the world, and the students are asking all of us to stand with them on September 20 for a day of high-impact global action.

We'll have two travel contingents on the day – easy for you to join us from wherever you live!

One group will be catching the train in together, starting in Loganlea and with group members getting on at Yerongpilly, Yeronga, Fairfield and other stations on the Beenleigh Line. The train departs Loganlea Station at 10:59am, and we'll be in the last carriage.

Another group will be catching the 555 bus in together, starting at Loganholme Bus Station and departing at 11.15am.

Whichever you choose – look for the climate strike and ACF signs, banners and shirts!

If you are coming in by bus or bike, you can meet up with us in the City and march behind the ACF Brisbane South & Logan banner. We will be in Queens Gardens, on the corner of George and Elizabeth Streets, from 12.15pm. The rally starts at 1pm. Look for the man with the big ACF umbrella.

This is the time for climate action. With devastating drought and catastrophic bushfires crippling our state, there is no time to lose. We know that people in our neighbourhood want to see climate action, so we’ll be attending the strike as a Brisbane South & Logan contingent. By attending the strike together, we’ll share this critical moment while building relationships with other locals and chatting more about what can be done in our own area.

ACF Community Brisbane South & Logan is part of a network of independently organised, volunteer-run groups in the ACF community. ACF will pass on your contact details to the host for the purpose of running the event.
