Join us on Thursday 5 November as we present our Canberra community Scott Reef banner and take over 20,000 petition signatures from around Australia to a meeting with MP Alicia Payne!
We'll present our fish and coral postcards on the big reef banner to show our MP how much this community cares about the future of our reefs and a safe climate for all. Come join us and make the moment special!
Bonus points for those who dress up in either ocean or reef themed attire!
Optional: If you live in Canberra federal electorate and are interested in attending the community meeting with Alicia Payne at 10.30am to talk about saving Scott Reef from Woodside's Browse gas project, please email [email protected].

What: Deliver our petition and banner to MP Alicia Payne + (optional) attend a community meeting on Scott Reef & Browse
When: 10am meet outside MP Alicia Payne's office for banner display and photo. Optional: 10.30am MP meeting.
Where: 221 London Circuit, Canberra, ACT, 2601
The Situation: Right now, Woodside is planning to damage an iconic Aussie coral reef for export profits.
Woodside’s proposed Browse gas drilling at Scott Reef would be disastrous for nature, climate and communities, destroying a pristine oasis for endangered whales and turtles.
The pollution from this gas will worsen the climate crisis, turbocharging bleaching from the Great Barrier Reef to Ningaloo and exposing Aussie families to more extreme, more frequent disasters.
Whether you’ve volunteered with ACF before, are reconnecting after some time away, or are simply curious to get more involved, this is for you.
