Our Community is very disappointed in the lack of commitment to Climate Justice by our Federal Government. Science and the Glasgow pact are very clear on the need for strong emission reductions of more than 50% by 2030.
We are holding regular actions asking for science based 2030 targets on Friday mornings. Our actions outside Chisholm MP Gladys Liu's office have disturbed some local residents. So we are going to use a number of other locations throughout the electorate.
We will meet in the median strip of Whitehorse Road on the west side of Station St, near the painted shelter. Then we can spread out to face all the traffic with banners and signs. Physical Distancing is easy to maintain in this way.
Please wear a facemask and bring your own sign and hand sanitiser if possible. Obey local regulations for Covid Safety at all times. Do not attend if you are unwell.
