Our Community is very disappointed in the lack of commitment to Climate Justice by our Federal Government. Climate Scientists and the pacts agreed to by leaders at the COP26 UN Climate Summit in Glasgow are very clear on the need for strong emission reductions or more than 50% by 2030.
We are holding regular actions asking for science based 2030 targets on Friday mornings. Our initial actions were outside Chisholm MP Gladys Liu's office, but now we are visiting a number of other locations throughout the electorate.
We will meet outside Syndal Station at the intersection of Coleman Parade and Blackburn Rd.
Then we can spread out to face all the traffic with banners and signs. Physical Distancing is easy to maintain in this way.
Please bring along your own sign if you have one. Signs will be available for sharing.
