The end of 2024 crept up while we were busy with lots of other activities!

We need to catch up and celebrate all the things we have done together this year. As usual it’s been an action-packed period, with regular nature walks, platy project, Wild at Art adventures, an increasing level of advocacy for Nature and climate action and our regular participation in English Corner.

Members old and new are warmly invited to the ACF Chisholm Community holiday celebration, which will once again be a Mad Hatters Picnic in Wattle Park, Surrey Hills, continuing the ‘tradition’ of previous years.  We are also inviting our friends from English Corner to join us again.

Fantasy and disinformation are often in our news these days so the Mad Hatter and Through the Looking Glass vibe is as relevant as ever.  Lewis Carroll was a very smart person!  Hats are essential for protection from Melbourne’s increasing heat, but they don’t have to be serious. Don your funniest, fanciest, or most fabulous hat for the event.  As usual there will be prizes.

Bring something festive to share for lunch.  The area has picnic tables and BBQs for those who wish to use them. It can be a popular spot so we suggest you bring along folding picnic chairs or a picnic blanket.

After lunch, weather permitting, we will have a walk around the park for any who are interested.
Family/significant others are most welcome.
