Platy spotting is such an exciting but also a meditative experience sitting together in small groups to sight a platypus. Very family friendly and of great benefit to data collection by the University of NSW on the prevalence - or not -of platypus in our waterways.
ACFIM have teamed up with ACF NXNW this year to check out the Merri Creek's hoped for Platypus population.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT: No. 11 West Preston tram from Collins ST -alight STOP 35 and walk back to Rennie St and proceed down Rennie St to the T intersection of Rennie and Strettle St. The event entrance into the Reserve is at that intersection.
: No. 1 East Coburg tram or No. 6 Moreland tram from Swanston St--alight Moreland RD / Normandy Rd STOP 129 and proceed down Normandy Rd then turn Left into Strettle St.
CAR PARKING AVAILABLE in Rennie and Strettle St.
PUBLIC TOILET FACILITIES: there are toilet facilities 5 minutes walk from event's meeting area..in the A H Capp sporting reserve.
