Adelaide, SA: Aussie backyard bird count citizen science

Monday 19 October 2020
05:45pm - 07:15pm
Rundle Park/Kadlipina (Park 13)
Corner of East Terrace and Rundle Street, Adelaide, SA 5000, Australia
Get directions

It will soon be Aussie Backyard Bird Count week and ACF Adelaide is enabling you to get involved by teaching you how to use a bird identification and recording app to take your first steps into the world of citizen science.

We’ve chosen the familiar spot of Rundle Park, home of The Garden of Unearthly Delights, off Rundle Road.

The event is aimed at people new to observing birds and the goal is to set you up using Birdlife’s Aussie Bird Count app (link below) so that you can contribute to the national Bird Count.

There will be a visit to a local bar afterwards if anyone is interested.

When
Monday 19th October 2020, 5.45pm to 7.15pm timed to be complete before sunset.

I’m new and know nothing about birds, can I attend?
That’s the idea! This is a chance to meet other ACF supporters and develop bird observations skills that can contribute to scientific knowledge.

Meeting Location
Corner of the entrance to park… the usual entrance to the Garden of Unearthly Delights. The organiser will be holding an ACF placard or other identifying item.

Accessibility
Rundle Park is serviced by accessible paths. There are many areas of seating, some shaded.
