During the week of 5 June, millions of people around the world will celebrate World Environment Day.
Join the ACF community to come together and celebrate standing up and speaking out to protect the places we love. We’ll hear how community action is building people power to #StopAdani.
The evening will include storytelling, performance and the launch of Repower Australia the movement’s latest plan to transition Australia to clean, renewable energy from the sun, wind and waves.

Speakers
Paul Sinclair
Paul has been working with non-government, philanthropic, government and business sectors for over a decade to create policy and law reform across issues of drought, nature conservation, natural resource management, rural water allocation, environmental flows, urban water supply and nature-based solutions to carbon pollution mitigation and climate adaptation. During this time he wrote The Murray: A River and its People, an environmental and cultural history of the Murray River. At ACF, he works with his campaign team to build community, business and government support for initiatives that conserve and restore Australia's safe climate and ecosystems.
Gavan McFadzean
Gavan has been a climate change and nature protection activist for over 20 years and has played a key role in old growth forest campaigns in four states, the protection of Cape York and the Kimberley, World Heritage, marine protected areas and Australia’s remaining intact river systems. He has represented Australian environmental NGOs at international climate and nature protection negotiations. He now head up ACF’s climate change and clean energy program.
Jonathan Miller
Jonathan is a campaigner on climate change, sustainable economy, population, nature conservation and social justice. He has also worked as a diplomat, a Commonwealth and ACT public servant, and a Senator’s advisor. He is motivated by a deep love of the Australian bush and a passion for bushwalking.
