Given the 'post truth' experience of so much of life in 2025 the Mad Hatter and Through the Looking Glass vibe just gets more relevant every year.

It's time to catch up and celebrate all the things we have done together this year. As usual it’s been an action-packed period, with an Election Campaign, regular nature walks, platy project, MP protest actions and our regular participation in English Corner.

Members old and new are warmly invited to the ACF Eastern Rosellas Community end-of-year celebration, which will be a Mad Hatters Picnic in Wattle Park, Surrey Hills.  Continuing the tradition started in 2019.    We are also inviting our friends from English Corner to join us as they have at other events.

Hats are essential for protection from Melbourne’s increasing heat, but they don’t have to be serious. Don your funniest, fanciest, or most fabulous hat for the event.  As usual there will be prizes.

Bring something festive to share for lunch.  The area has picnic tables and BBQs for those who wish to use them. It can be a popular spot so we suggest you bring along folding picnic chairs or a picnic blanket.
After lunch we will have a walk around the park for all who are interested.

Family/significant others are most welcome.
