Election campaign debrief and future planning session

Come join ACF Deakin crew as we reflect and celebrate on the amazing work that has been happened across Deakin in the lead up to the election and plan for what comes next!

As a group ACF Deakin has achieved a lot on the past few months. We gave out scorecards showing where the three major parties and the independent stood on climate and nature, put up yard signs saying Yes to Protecting Nature, Yes to Renewables, No to Nuclear and No to New Coal and Gas and ran a Candidates Forum for Deakin with over 120+ attendees. While it was great to see an election result that was a firm rejection of nuclear and an embrace of renewable energy, we know we need to ensure that nature protection is high on the agenda of our newly elected representatives.

We’re running a session on Thursday 22 May 6pm – 7.30pm at the Nunawading Community Hub to reflect on all of the hard work done in Deakin to ahead of the election, and to plan what’s next for the ACF Deakin group. We'd love to have you along!

What: Post-election debrief + future planning session

When: Thursday 22 May, 6-7.30pm

Where: Studio 7, Nunawading Community Hub, 96-106 Springvale Rd, Nunawading

The venue is wheelchair accessible, has ample parking and is a 10 minute walk from the Nunawading train station. We’ll be providing some food and snacks so please let me know if you have any dietary restrictions!

Even if you didn't volunteer as part of our election campaign, we’d still love to have you along. If you’d prefer to join just for the future planning portion of the evening you can join us from 7pm onwards after we’ve finished our reflection on the work we did in the lead up to the election.
