Holland Park, QLD: Electric Vehicle Day

Sunday 27 June 2021
10:00am - 01:00pm
Holland Park Library
81 Seville Rd, Holland Park, QLD 4121, Australia
Get directions

We invite you to join us for a unique and fun event: discover the wonderful world of electric vehicles! Get a close-up look at Tesla, MG, Volt, Super Soco scooters, Nissan Leaf, Evoke Motorcycles and even a 1965 Ford Cortina that now runs on electricity. Whether you are new to EV's or are already a fan; if you are thinking of purchasing a car or just want to learn more about sustainable transport, this is the event for you! Chat to the owners of these wonderful vehicles and have a peruse, while enjoying canapes and hearing from great speakers -including the Queensland Minister for Transport!

Where: Holland Park Library, 81 Seville Rd, Holland Park
When: Sunday, June 27, 2021, from 10am to 1pm
Entry: Absolutely free

Electric vehicles are the way of the future. They are clean, green, quiet, and powerful. In the coming decade, EVs will become more affordable. Many of us will be driving them and that means cuts in greenhouse gases and cleaner air in our cities. Come and see what is available and hear from experts in the field. Hear the latest on batteries, the economics of EVs, the benefits of going electric and how to turn your petrol burner into an eco-friendly car.

Our speakers include:

  • The Hon. Minister Mark Bailey, Queensland Minister for Transport and Main Roads
  • Dr Anna Mortimore, Griffith Business School
  • Leslie Smith, Secretary of the Queensland Branch of the Australian Electrical Vehicle Association
  • John Murray, EV enthusiast and author of the book Supercharged Momentum: The Century of the Electric Car
  • Graeme Manietta – owner of Oz-DIY Electric Vehicles – he loves converting cars to EV

Free Morning Tea (including canapes, tea and coffee) will be available. There will be plenty of time to mingle, talk to the speakers and admire the vehicles on show.
We will also have latest on the ACF's campaigns to promote a clean and green recovery from the COVID crisis, for anyone who would like to know more.

So spread the word and be sure to join us on June 27!
