Training: Persuasive Conversations

Wednesday 20 April 2022
06:30pm - 08:00pm
Online via Zoom - Details will be sent after registration

Talking to our communities about the need to act on climate and nature is essential to creating a groundswell of demand for action. But it's easier said than done, right? Mastering the art of persuasive conversations is crucial to growing the ACF community and achieving the wider movement’s goals.

That's why we are inviting you to join our training session on persuasive conversations to help you strengthen and grow your community group and inspire others to take action.

Persuasive conversations help to form new or strengthen existing relationships. They facilitate the exchange of ideas and play an important role in motivating people to take action to protect our environment.

This training will help you:

  • Understand the value a persuasive conversation
  • Know who to approach and how to start a conversation
  • Identify how to make the conversation meaningful
  • Respectfully handle objections and rejections

You will have the chance to have a go at a persuasive conversation as well!

The training starts at 6.30pm AEST – so that's 6.30pm in NSW, ACT, QLD, TAS and VIC; 6pm in SA and NT; 4.30pm in WA.

This training will go for an hour and a half.

Who is this training is intended for:

  • Community group members who hold or are considering to hold stalls or door knocking events
  • Community group members wanting to revisit their conversation skills
  • New community group members
  • Members of grassroots groups who have partnered with ACF

After you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the training.

See you there!
