Join in ACFIM's final 2022 Birrarung event at the Melbourne Girls College native planting re-vegetation site. ACFIM volunteers help the students' re-vegetation project every 3rd Saturday of the month.The project's aim is to re-populate the Yarra River embankment and area near the school with the original plants of the Yarra -especially the Myrnong plant-the once staple indigenous food source.
On the 17th we plan to transplant Myrnongs that have been cultivated at the site into extended areas there AND have a yarning session with 2 students from the College who have painted the Myrnongs as art works. To mark the festive season,generous serves of home-made Christmas Cake,accompanied by tea and coffee,will be served. Everyone welcome!!!
