Then join us for an hour of flyering at the Mitcham Train Station in the federal electorate of Deakin followed by a social dinner at the local pub!
Research has found that people are more inclined to engage with and take action on an issue that they've heard about multiple times. Over the past few months, ACF volunteers have been engaging with people in the electorate of Deakin on strong nature protection and urgent climate action through being at local markets, door knocking and running community events. Flyering is another great way to get the word out and encourage people to think about how they can vote with nature and climate in mind at the next Federal Election.
After about an hour of handing out flyers and having chats to commuters on their way home, we'll head to the Mitcham Social for a social end of year dinner to celebrate all the efforts of the year gone by! The Mitcham Social has gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options available.
If you've never been flyering before, have no fear. There'll be others with you the whole time and we'll learn together, and have some fun too. You don't have to be an expert or have had nay prior experience. If you're a passionate nature lover who wants a climate safe future for all, you've already got all it takes!
