Flyering in Hawthorn and social at the pub!

Tuesday 25 February 2025
04:30pm - 06:30pm
Glenferrie Train Station
Hawthorn, VIC 3122, Australia

Do you want to get active for strong nature protection and urgent climate action ahead of the next federal election?

Then join us for an hour of flyering at Glenferrie Train Station in the federal electorate of Kooyong, followed by a well-deserved drink at a local pub!

We'll be handing out flyers to advertise our next big local alliance event with Lighter Footprints, the Kooyong Candidates Forum. With the election happening so soon, the Candidates Forum will be an amazing opportunity for voters in the electorate of Kooyong to hear from the candidates and ask questions.

If we have time for a longer chat with folks, we'll also do the Community Pulse survey with them to understand their thoughts on climate and nature.

Research has found that people are more inclined to engage with and take action on an issue that they've heard about multiple times. Over the past few months, ACF volunteers have been engaging with people in the electorate of Kooyong on strong nature protection and urgent climate action through being at local markets, door knocking and running community events. Flyering is another great way to get the word out and encourage people to think about how they can vote with nature and climate in mind at the next Federal Election.

If you're a passionate nature lover who wants a climate safe future for all, you've already got all it takes! We promise you a very safe and welcoming space, and you will be part of a team at all times. It's a great way to not only make a difference in your community, but also a wonderful way to meet new people who are passionate about protecting our environment.

So please do join us, spread the word and bring your friends, too.

See you there!
