The Australian Conservation Foundation has recently lodged our submission on offshore wind in Gippsland, calling for strong protections for whales, seabirds and other marine life, alongside meaningful community benefit sharing so local people share in the opportunities the renewable energy transition can bring.
As the Victorian Government prepares to run its next offshore wind tender, we'd love you to join us for a special online community event to discuss what's next.

Together we'll explore:
- What ACF is recommending to better protect whales, birds and other marine life
- What the upcoming tender means for Gippsland
- How offshore wind can be developed in a way that benefits both nature and local communities
- What community benefit sharing should look like.
We'll finish the evening by asking participants to vote on a community statement outlining the expectations we want offshore wind developers to meet. We'll then share the results directly with the companies participating in the tender process.
