This is your invitation to join ACF Community Griffith at the Global Climate Strike in Brisbane! Join us to make sure that our community is represented in standing with the student strikers.
This massive, student-led movement is building power around the world, and the students are asking all of us to stand with them on 20 September for a day of high-impact global action.
We're holding a pre-strike picnic in the city to get to know each other and share some food. We'll meet on the Wedding Lawn, which is near the corner of Alice and George Streets, and is marked as area 2 on this map. By attending the strike together, we'll share this critical moment while building relationships with other locals and chatting more about what can be done in our own area.
Please bring your own lunch and any signs you may have, we'll head over to the Global Strike for climate rally together in time for the start at 1pm. All welcome, new and not-so-new. See you there!
ACF Community Griffith is part of a network of independently organised, volunteer-run groups in the ACF community. ACF will pass on your contact details to the host for the purpose of running the event. The Global #ClimateStrike is a student-led event with assistance from our allies Friends of the Earth and the Australian Youth Climate Coalition.
