The Victorian state election is coming up on 24 November. This is our chance to make stopping climate damage a defining issue of the election.
That's why ACF is collaborating with Lighter Footprints to invite you to a public forum featuring four distinguished experts and the candidates for the state seat of Hawthorn.
The stellar line-up of speakers includes:
- Dr Joelle Gergis, noted climate scientist and author of Sunburnt Country
- Sarah Barker, Special Counsel, Minter Ellison
- Oliver Yates, Former CEO of the Clean Energy Finance Corporation
- Mark Wakeham, CEO of Environment Victoria
- Victoria McKenzie-McHarg, Chair of Climate Action Network Australia
- Candidates of the major political parties contesting the seat of Hawthorn
If we can pack out the Hawthorn forum with people who are concerned about climate damage, candidates will know they have to lift their game on climate if they want to win.
Lighter Footprints is an independently organised, volunteer-run climate action group in the Boroondara/Whitehorse community. ACF will pass on your contact details to the host for the purpose of running the event.
