Join our monthly action group meeting to meet like-minded people, have fun and plan our next actions to bring about a more fair, just and flourishing Australia.
We are a very friendly & passionate bunch. We would love you to bring along ideas for local campaigns as well as getting involved in ACF community campaigns.
There will be a report back by Nicola (co-group leader) following our successful meeting with Anthony Albanese's Office Manager Sue Heath in regards to ACF's campaign on the EPBC review (Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act) and Recover, Rebuild, Renew - a campaign about planet and climate-positive economic recovery policies that can bring us out of this COVID crisis.
We would love to begin planning to meet with some other MPs in our group's electorates. This is an opportunity for you to take part in lobbying your local representative to enact policies that protect our living world. As the urgency on acting to protect our environment increases – especially with the introduction of disastrous EPBC amendments – we welcome our members to help with actions in advocacy and campaigning.
Aside from these, we are hoping that some of you will be able to get more involved in our team. There are a few volunteer roles that may match your interests & skills from the list. You can let Nicola know preferably before or during our monthly meeting. There is plenty of training, support and coaching within the ACF so don't be afraid to put up your hand to develop your skills while also making a difference.
