Joint Webinar - ACF Tasmania and Bayside, 12/4/2020 - Review of The Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act

Sunday 12 April 2020
07:00pm - 08:00pm

Hello All!

We depend on nature. The fresh air we breathe, the clean water we drink – we are always connected to nature, and have a duty to protect it.

Australia’s national environment law The Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 is under review for the first time in ten years.

This is a critical opportunity to speak out for nature, and help save many animals and plants. It won’t come again!

We know these laws are lacking, how is it an internationally recognised wetland under the Ramsar agreement can be made a Priority Development Area?

The best way to have your say and be heard is to write a submission to the independent review before the 17 April deadline!

YOU ARE INVITED:

We know this may seem a little challenging, but we assure you it's not. We'd like to invite you to a quick & fun hour with us, in a first ever joint ACF Tasmania and ACF Bayside event!

We will cover how to write an effective submission, and answer any questions you have. And we'll all get to know each other a little better and meet ACF volunteers from different parts of the country. All that, and helping to protect our cherished nature, too. Sounds like a fun little Sunday get together to us, so please do join us!

Of all the things you do this year this is probably one of the most important ways you can stand up for nature!

In the meantime, check out the Guide to writing a Submission here.
