Last year, StopAdani Kooyong got over 900 Kooyongers to tell Frydenberg what they thought about Adani on the Community Challenge Survey - the second highest number in an electorate doing the survey in Australia. They told him to STOP THE MINE. He said there was nothing he could do.
WRONG, MINISTER. YOU HAVE THE POWER. YOU HAVE NEW EVIDENCE. YOU CAN REVOKE ADANI'S ENVIRONMENTAL APPROVALS.
This year, we are again doing street work with a petition to him to revoke the approvals and stop the mine. We aim to get even more than last year to keep up the pressure on him.
Last year we got so much support and thanks from the locals - of course, the odd one against but no trouble.
JOIN US to invite the people of Kooyong to tell their local member Mr Frydenberg what they think about Adani. We have the petition. We have the folders. We have the placards. We have the supports. We work in pairs. It's simple to do. We just need YOU.
This will be our first for this year. We will be doing them each Saturday in Camberwell and each Thursday alternating Hawthorn and Kew shopping centres.
