ACF Supporters locally and Australia-wide are taking their concerns to Federal members: urgent protection for Nature is just not happening.
A delegation of ACF supporters on the NSW Far South Coast are arranging to meet our elected member, Ms Fiona Phillips MP, on the 20th of July in Batemans Bay.
Please RSVP by Friday 17th of July if you'd like to join or contribute to this delegation so we can coordinate effectively.
These are some of the issues that ACF Community Illawarra & South Coast has identified as a priority:
- The new Nature Laws (EPBC reform) and the associated National Environmental Standards.
- The rampant deforestation, land clearing and native forest logging that's happening DESPITE the reformed Nature Laws passed at the end of last year.
- We're going to present Ms Phillips with damning evidence of the illegal decimation of biodiversity that's taking its toll around the country and the enormous damage being done under inadequate existing laws, often at enormous taxpayer expense.
- We're also going to tell our stories of the threats to nature and biodiversity occurring right now at our end of the Gilmore electorate.
Join us in calling for stronger reforms, and please share these issues with your networks to amplify our message.
Together, our voices can protect Nature for future generations.
