Brisbane City Council are planning to improve the platypus habitat at Wendon Way, revegetating the creek beds to hold the soil in place and create more biodiverse habitat.
Part of that will be the establishment of a new Bushcare group under the umbrella of North Brisbane Catchments and Brisbane City Council.
Once established, bushcare is often just a couple of hours a month - weeding, planting, etc - many hands make light work. It’s also a great chance to meet people, have great conversations and learn more about nature, while doing good for our environment.
Our first event is a casual gathering at Wendon Way Park from 10am to 11am on Sunday 18th August 2024. This is for people interested in joining to meet each other. No need to RSVP. Look for the North Brisbane Catchments banner.
