Last year after over a decade of campaigning the Federal government passed new national nature laws. When the laws hit Parliament hundreds of volunteers across the country ran events, put up signs, spoke with their MPs, and helped pressure the government to introduce laws that:

  • Stop extinctions and restore nature so animals, people and communities can thrive.
  • End the deforestation loopholes that enable rogue bulldozing of our forests and woodlands.
  • Independent and accountable decision making that stops big polluter dodging the law and ends illegal bulldozing.
  • Embeds climate harm in decision-making, to protect communities and wildlife from bleaching, algae blooms, fires and floods.

It’s important to stop and celebrate the wins, but while these laws have been introduced the bulldozing has continued.

Confusing communication, lack of enforcement and limited public awareness means that even those that are trying to do right thing have not got the information they need.

The National Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is due to be introduced in July and presents a real opportunity to stop the bulldozers, but only if it has teeth to investigate, and enforce our new nature laws. That’s why we need your help to build a strong movement that pushes back and demands a powerful National EPA.

Join us at our campaign info night:

We will cover:

  • Our strategy to push for an EPA with teeth
  • How we can use people power to make it happen
  • What you can do to be a part of it

We must work together to show that the movement for Nature is more powerful than big business.
