The Mermaid Pools Restoration Project is a community environmental project that aims to restore the pools at Manly Vale to their former glory. The project is run by the Save Manly Dam Catchment Committee and volunteers meet regularly at the site to do a variety of tasks such as weeding, removing rubbish, and more. You can find more information about the group and their future sessions on their Facebook page here.

The next session is on Saturday, 24 June, and we'd love to invite you to come along and help with removing the very invasive "Morning Glory" vine from South America which strangles and smothers our native bushland and is getting slightly out of hand at Mermaid Pool.

The volunteer work conducted at the site is part of the Northern Beaches Council's Bushcare program, and tools and supervision are provided. We'll meet outside the UNSW Water Lab gates before heading to the site to begin.

Important:

If you are coming along, please sign up as a volunteer on the Northern Beaches Council website at this link here.
