Join us for a walk in the Whipstick, within the Greater Bendigo National Park, and enjoy the delights of the box-ironbark and mallee bushland responding to the rain and preparing for Spring colours. The walk will take us past some interesting historic remnants of the 1850s gold rush.
We will start from Shadbolts Picnic Area, taking the Old Tom Mine Walk, an 5.5km loop walk through a range of habitats.
We’ll meet at Shadbolts Picnic Area, off Eaglehawk Neilborough Road, Woodvale. Wear sturdy footwear, suitable clothing, bring drinking water and protect yourself from sun, wind and rain. Parts of the path have been washed away and the gravelly paths are quite loose so walking poles are recommended
The walk will take approximately 2 hours. It is a reasonably easy walk, mostly flat, with just a couple of steep hills.
Please RSVP here and include your phone number. You will get an email confirming your booking, with details of specific starting point. (Email’s Subject: RSVP Confirmation ACF Bendigo District September Bushwalk from ACF [email protected])
