Join us for a one-day, family-friendly flotilla at the world’s largest coal port for Rising Tide's Paddle for the Planet.

Our friends at Rising Tide are once again taking to the waters to demand new jobs and funding for coal workers and a safe, live-able climate for everyone! Paddle for the Planet will be happening in the middle of the COP31 United Nations climate talks in which Australia is going to be in the global spotlight as COP31 President of Negotiations. The government will be looking to present itself as an international climate leader so this is our chance to highlight their hypocrisy and Australia's fossil fuel addiction to make our message impossible to ignore! We're aiming to get MORE PEOPLE and MORE VESSELS out on the water than ever before! It'll be a great event featuring...

🛶 Mass paddle-out / Flotilla
🎶 Live music

🧒 Kids’ activities
🍔 Lunch

What: Paddle for the Planet

When: Saturday 14 November, 10am - 3pm

Where: Horseshoe Beach, Muloobinba/Newcastle

Paddle for the Planet will be a very safe and bite-sized way to dip your toe in and experience the fun and impact of a major Rising Tide. This event is not a blockade or a civil disobedience protest; meaning no one is expected to be arrested. We're aiming to create a powerful image to show the world that the Australian people do not accept the climate negligence of our Federal government, as they take center stage at COP31 UN climate talks.
