Join us on the 23rd of September at the Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary for Platty Spotting.

Discover the enchanting world of platypus like never before with the exciting platy-project, an initiative by the Australian Conservation Foundation that's turning September into a platypus adventure month!

The platy-project is an Australian Conservation Foundation initiative to get people looking for platypus at their nearest river or creek throughout September, to help researchers understand more about this elusive animal.

Event: Warrawong Sanctuary Platy Spotting.

When: Saturday, 23 September 2023 at 10am.

Location: Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary at 47 Stock Rd Mylor SA 5153.

To participate in this event, you need to RSVP on this webpage and, also, purchase a ticket from Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary. Please use the promo code “platy”, when booking online, to receive their 10% discount on tickets.

The sanctuary opens to the general public at 11:00am. Between 10:00am and 11:00am, ACF members and supporters will be provided with a customised tour of Lake Cumbungi, where Dr Wamsley started building intensive platypus breeding facilities.

There are a series of ponds next to the Lake, separated by 3 underwater observatories.

After the ACF tour you will be welcome to stay on for as little or as much as you wish to take in other free activities at the Sanctuary. More information here: https://www.warrawongws.com.au/

Get ready to be captivated by the charm of platypuses, delve into their mysterious world, and contribute to vital research. This is your chance to make a difference while having an absolute blast!
