Welcome to the climate election year! This is the year we rise up as a movement to tell the people who want to represent us in our next government: if you want our votes you must stop Adani’s polluting coal mine.
And what better way to kick it off than by reminding our Prime Minister (the man who laughed as he tossed a lump of coal in Parliament) that we’re here, we’re not going away and we won’t stop until Adani’s climate-wrecking mine is ruled out for good.
Scott Morrison will be at the National Press club on Monday, which means we have a huge opportunity to show him, the national media and all parties and candidates that stopping Adani and coal will be a vote decider.
Meet us at the public entrance to the Press Club at 11.30am sharp. Wear your #StopAdani clothes and bring a banner if you have one!
Press Club events have a large media attendance and this one is booked out! We will hold our Stop Adani signs, smile big smiles, and welcome the media, the Prime Minister and his guests as they walk into the Press Club.
They will feel the power of the Stop Adani movement and realise that wherever they go, we will be there until political leaders lift their game on climate change.
