ACF has collected over 7,000 messages from electors across Australia and these are growing by the hour. In 2022, the Albanese Government promised to fix Australia’s ineffective nature laws. Three years later, this promise still remains unfulfilled. The current algal bloom disaster on South Australia's coastline speaks for itself and as a matter of urgency, communities are demanding the Government secure stronger Nature Laws promised in the last parliament as soon as possible to protect our precious environment.
ACF National Office has conveniently divided these messages by electorate highlighting the depth of concerns expressed across nation. In this regard, we aim to seek meetings with our elected members to discuss Nature Laws and keep them accountable by delivering these messages for an urgent law reform.
In the case of Boothby, messages from local electors have been delivered to Louise Miller-Frosts office. A meeting will be be requested with Louise and when a time is secured, supporters who have responded by accepting this invitation will be informed via SMS about the time of the meeting and will be marked available to attend accordingly. An ideal delegation is between three to five people.
With the decision day for our emissions reduction target closing fast we also have an opportunity to express our view that a robust target is important.
