The ACF Eden-Monaro Community Group is inviting you to a walk and picnic for fun and discovery.
North Rosedale, like Cobargo and Mogo, was severely affected by the bushfires with nearly 75% of homes in the area being destroyed.
Fifteen months on from the devastation, it is worth taking a walk around the area to see how recovery is going both in terms of the beautiful bush setting as well as the rebuilding program. It is a story of hope and resilience.
Come and meet some of the members of the ACF Eden-Monaro Community, discuss what is happening in and around the region in terms of bushfire recovery and environmental projects as well as enjoy a lovely Autumn walk and picnic.
Local resident, Jack Egan, who unsuccessfully defended his home will describe the fire’s dynamics.
Rosedale Landcare coordinator, Jane Enright, will guide us on local bush regeneration.
Virginia Young, of Great Eastern Ranges (ger.org.au), will talk about the Great Eastern Ranges integrated conservation vision with options for how ACF Eden-Monaro Community could pitch in.
