People from all around Griffith have been signing up to stop Woodside’s plans to drill for gas in the Browse Basin and help us save beautiful Scott Reef. But we need your help for the next step!
On the 19th of October we're going to be taking 100’s of petitions from around the electorate to Renee Coffey's office and show her how much this community cares about the future of our reefs. Come and make the moment special!
What: Deliver our petition and Banner, come for a drink or a bite at Stones Corner Hotel afterwards
Where: Meet at 14/76 Old Cleveland Road Stones Corner (MP Office)
When: 1:00pm, Monday the 19th October.
The Situation:
Woodside’s proposed Browse gas drilling at Scott Reef would be disastrous for nature, climate and communities, destroying a pristine oasis for endangered whales and turtles.
The pollution from this gas will worsen the climate crisis, turbocharging bleaching from the Great Barrier Reef to Ningaloo and exposing Aussie families to more extreme, more frequent disasters.
We'll be asking members of your local community to sign our Save Scott Reef banner action to build beautiful reef banners to deliver to MPs around the country!
Whether you’ve volunteered with ACF before, are reconnecting after some time away, or are simply curious to get more involved, this is for you. No experience necessary to volunteer!
