September 2024 Bushwalk with Central Victoria ACF

Friday 27 September 2024
10:00am - 12:00pm
Rajah Botanical Loop Walk
Harper Road, Wellsford, VIC 3551, Australia
Get directions

Friday's Walk is a loop walk through Yellow gum, Red Box and-Ironbark woodland off Barnadown Road on the outer limits of Ascot. It's a shorter walk than usual (3.6km of flat track) but the display of heathy spring flowers and orchids beside the single file track will slow us down so expect to finish the walk within 1.75 to 2 hours. Children would not be too challenged by the walk.

We're meeting at 10.00 am at the intersection of Harper Road, and Claypit Road, 9.8 km from the Central Bendigo Fountain. The RSVP email will have the details for finding this spot.

The route is on an generally easy track but there are a few eroded sections and some uneven ground due to the mountain bikes and dirt-bikes that use this track. If you need to feel steady, bring walking poles.

Please wear sturdy supportive footwear and suitable clothing, hats, drinking water and snacks, and protect yourself from the elements.

Please RSVP here so we know who is coming.  You will get an email confirming your booking, with details of the specific starting point.  (Email’s Subject: RSVP Confirmation ACF Central Victoria September 2024 Rajah Botanical Loop from ACF [email protected])

Friends, family and community members are welcome, but each person needs to register individually.

If you’re needing a lift, please phone Philippe on 0400198375.

If this is your first time to walk with us, please text Philippe on 0400198375 with your name and mobile number.  Then, if you're running late, you can be called.
