Boroondara Sustainability Farmers Market
On Saturday 29th November the Boroondara Farmers Market will have a sustainability theme and we have been invited with Lighter Footprints to have a stall. This is a great opportunity to engage with the local community and drive our membership, which is particularly important ahead of 2026, which will be a critical year for the protection of nature in Victoria, with the State election.
Time: The Market starts at 8am and finishes at 12.30pm. All stalls needs to be set up by 8am, when the market commences.
Venue: Patterson Reserve, Auburn Road, Hawthorn.
Volunteer roles
- Set up and pack down - We are looking for volunteers to help set up and pack down the stall, which will require picking up some ACF banners and material, as well as dropping it back to ACF or to a house in the area.
- Staffing of the stall and engaging with community - This includes giving out fliers, directing people to where they can sign up to become a member, and if really engaged, getting them to write quick ‘submissions’ to the EPBC senate inquiry
