Come and join us for our first volunteer day for 2025 in Westgate Park! In partnership with Westgate Biodiversity, we are holding this event to bring people together to look after and help nuture this beautiful park on Saturday 15th February.
We are members of the ACF Community Macnamara.
Decoded, that means we're a group based in the federal electorate of Macnamara (the old Melbourne Ports) and are affiliated with the Australian Conservation Foundation ('ACF').
So, please come and join us.
Volunteers from all parts of Melbourne and beyond have participated.

Schedule
9:30am Introduction to the volunteer activities & safety briefing.
10:00-11:00am Volunteer activity.
11:00-11:30am Coffee, tea and biscuits.
11:30am-12:30pm Volunteer activity.
🌱🐢🌏 What to Bring
This is Melbourne! Please bring a hat, sunscreen, jacket, reusable water bottle, enclosed shoes, face mask and gardening gloves (extra gloves will be available). All gardening equipment is provided.
Share a cuppa with us! Morning tea is on us, but feel free to bring some biscuits to share or your favourite herbal tea - a reusable cup for yourself would be especially appreciated.
👉 Meeting location: Westgate Park, Todd Road, Port Melbourne VIC - The exact meeting location within the park will be communicated closer to the date.
👉 Working with Children Check (for volunteers) - All organisations in Victoria that provide services or facilities for children are required to comply with Child Safe Standards. To comply with these Standards, Vic Parks which oversees the management of this park, require that all volunteers who attend an event after 30 June 2022 have applied for a Working with Children Check (WWCC) for volunteers. You can apply via the link below. The cards may take time to arrive. Proof of your submission is acceptable to participate in this event.
