Part of our Waterwatch program of measuring water quality in Back Creek includes a program of checking what is actually living in it. The best time for doing this is mid-late Autumn and Spring.

Which brings us to Sunday, April 19, when we will be conducting a survey at Back Creek Reserve (a scenic section just to the North of Denman Avenue.) If you saw us at the KCCA Clean Water Expo last December, you'll have some idea what to expect.
If you are curious to see what is to be found (a fifty dollar bill last time!), and relish the prospect of poking around in a tray of pond water for 30-40 minutes (more fun than it sounds!), please RSVP.
Wet feet are optional.
