Wild At Art at Melbourne Zoo!

This event has passed

Browse other ACF events

This year for Wild At Art, your whole family is invited to tour the zoo and see some of the threatened species that Zoos Victoria are fighting to protect! Then, take a moment to visit the M-Pavilion near the playground which will be transformed into a 'Wild At Art Hub' for the day – just drop-in and find everything you need to paint, draw and write about your chosen threatened species.

Children aged 5-12 can submit their entry to the Wild At Art 2024 competition before August 12 for the chance to win amazing prizes. You can start your artwork at the Zoo and submit it on the day, or take it home to finish and then submit your entry online.

RSVP now and you'll be taken to a signup form for an optional FREE art workshop with Serene Kitchen Art, for kids aged 5-12 at our M-Pavilion Wild At Art Hub. You'll learn how to draw & paint an Australian animal using fish-safe paints made from edible materials and food waste. All products and artworks made from these workshops are compostable and safe to pour down your sink (or food for your plants!).

Participants from our 2023 Zoo Wild At Art day.

See you at Melbourne Zoo to see your favourite animals and create some winning art!

*Please note that Zoo entry fees apply, but children 0-15 years are free on weekends and children 0-3 are free every day.
If you’d like to take part in the competition without joining us at Melbourne Zoo, you can do so right here.

Please note that filming/photography is taking place [at this event/in this area] for promotional purposes. The photographs and recordings made are likely to appear on our website or other marketing material. If you would prefer not to be photographed please let the photographer know.
